The legacy of Max Mosley: Motorsport and beyond

Recently I came across the documentary “Mosley: it’s complicated”; I was fascinated by the passion that the late
hashtag
Max Mosley had for Motorsport
hashtag
and by the roots and developments he followed within it first as driver, then as a manufacturer (the entrepreneurial eventually iconic MARCH brand) and team owner, finally as a key political figure shaping the overall dynamics of the sport with fundamental impacts also in the field of road cars safety.
In the documentary it is possible to enjoy his pragmatic thinking, shaped also by his background and profession of lawyer (fighting also for key issues of privacy and the media sparking from a famed direct involvement he found himself tangled up with) always matched by an engaging British humor at times even self-deprecating.
Mosley’s award winning autobiography (no doubt an inspiration for the documentary) is even more powerful than the documentary in portraying both his unique character and a resourceful UK and international perspective on Motorsport’s roots and developments. No doubt Mosley has left a
hashtag
legacy that is also quite relevant to road safety battles he embraced with a vision that has left its mark.
